Farmhouse Patchwork Quilt Double Knit Country 1970s.
My wife''s grandmother hand-made this Patchwork Quilt in the late 60s early 70s. The browns, tans, and yellows were distinct colors of that Era and this quilt shows them well. This quilt is over 50 years old and still looks wonderful. It has been properly stored in a lined cedar chest most of its life to prevent the fabric from dry rot and moth damage. There are a few Quilted pieces where the threads have come loose and they are sown in the pictures. These are easy fixes but we decided to leave it to the true quilting professionals. We were blessed to have several made over the years and are passing some of our personal collection on to others to enjoy. There is a batting material and a solid back on this quilt for warmth and comfort at any time of the year. The material used is cotton and polyester from that time period.
